Luogo Abbandonato (al tempo delle foto) con le finestre con panorama di fronte all’isola Gallinara e appena sotto l’antica via romana Iulia augusta di pregio storico e archeologico. La villa fortezza è situata in una piccola valle al confine tra Albenga e Alassio, con torri, garitte e colombaie e apparteneva un tempo ai Monaci dell’isola. Fu in seguito acquistata nel 1565 dai Marchesi Ferrero di Ventimiglia. La famiglia rimase vittima delle scorrerie piratesche che agiva nelle coste della Liguria e in una occasione rapirono anche il figlio Scipione e per il quale rilascio vene pagato un cospicuo riscatto. Negli ultimi anni è stata alungo in stato di abbandono Aggirarsi fra i suoi grandi stanzoni fa “respirare“ la storia sia antica che moderna di contadini che hanno lasciato vecchie botti e accessori di vendemmie passate... Il vedere le molte cose provvisorie come brandine, coperte stese, zaini, fornelleti da campo, un vecchio frigo... lasciano capire come fosse frequentata sia da turisti che persone di passaggio in cerca di un alloggio di fortuna... (Il luogo è oggi restaurato ed è proprietà privata di una famiglia che ne ha curato la realizzazione per renderla una dimora di villeggiatura e azienda agricola con uliveti, vigneti e orti.) Seeing the many provisional things such as beds, blankets, backpacks, camp stoves, and an old fridge... let us understand how it was frequented by both tourists and people passing through looking for makeshift accommodation... (The place has now been restored and is the private property of a family who oversaw its construction to make it a holiday home and farm with olive groves, vineyards, and vegetable gardens.) |
